THE MUSIC: Y'all Pendyal

Anuraag Pendyal -- piano, vocals, and guitar for Y'all Pendyal -- grew up in Carrboro, attended UNC, and then moved to Washington D.C. Johnny's is thrilled to welcome his band, Y'all Pendyal, back to his home town as they make their way through the Southeast on tour.
The other half of Y'all Pendyal is Jim Lande -- saxaphone, clarinet, and vocals. The DC-based duo performs blues, folk, and swing standards, as well as originals. Preview their sound here.

THE ART: Jessie Benson

The beeswax and oil colour works by local artist Jessie Benson explore family, friendship, love, and inner peace, largely through natural subjects.
Jessie’s influences include Vincent Van Gogh, and contemporary artist Trés Taylor of Birmingham, Alabama. She studied with Catherine Martin of Apex, North Carolina at her gallery studio The Red Canvas.
Jessie gives 10% of her net proceeds to the Center for Human-Earth Restoration, a non-profit educational group in North Carolina focused on reconnecting adults and children with the natural world.
